This is a
painting of my sister Janelle and her husband Larry. Recently Larry passed
away and he will be greatly missed by many, especially by his wife who is my
wonderful sister Janelle. They love to
party, drink, dance and gamble. The
brilliant vibrant reds and contrasting blues of his shirt with the cold white
of hers’ characterize the excitement they had for life. The motion of the brush strokes brings to
life the love they have for living. This painting
has a Post Impressionism style with the prominent borders of the figures. The
painting aims to reflect the artist’s state of mind and how he felt about
them rather than the reality. |
